Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Commercial Director to lead revenue generation and commercial strategy for our client's flagship crypto event. You will own sponsorship sales, partnership pipelines, team leadership, and alignment of commercial activities with the company’s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Sponsorship Sales & Revenue Leadership

• Design and execute a multi-tier sponsorship strategy (Platinum to Startup packages) targeting $10M+ annual revenue.
• Personally close 7-figure headline deals while coaching the team on mid-tier packages.
• Develop innovative inventory (metaverse activations, NFT drops, VIP experiences, media partnerships).

Team Development & Performance

• Cooperate with sales, partnerships, operations across APAC and EMEA.
• Implement ongoing training: weekly deal clinics, quarterly off-sites, certification in Web3 sales.
• Mentor high-potential talent; succession planning on team building.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

• Deliver monthly crypto-sector updates (regulatory shifts, funding rounds, competitor events).
• Build 18-month rolling commercial roadmap aligned with company OKRs.
• Identify whitespace opportunities (DeFi, RWA, AI×Blockchain tracks).

Stakeholder Management

• Represent the event at Davos, Consensus, Token2049, and private C-suite dinners.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Content, and Operations to ensure sponsor ROI and retention (>75%).

Requirements

• 8+ years in sponsorship sales within crypto, fintech, or large-scale tech conferences; 5+ years leading teams.
• Proven $8M+ personal quota attainment in crypto-adjacent events or media.
• Deep Hong Kong network; fluency in Mandarin and English (Cantonese a plus).
• Demonstrable experience launching teams in new markets (Singapore, Dubai, Seoul).
• Data-driven: Salesforce mastery, funnel metrics, churn analysis.
