Job Description
Our client is a leading proprietary trading firm focused on leveraging technology and quantitative strategies to achieve optimal trading outcomes. The team is composed of talented professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, and they are looking for a Senior System/Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, deployment, and management of infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.
- Innovation: Work closely with the trading teams including traders and developers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and capacity, implementing improvements to ensure high availability and low latency.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Work closely with trading, development, and operations teams to identify infrastructure needs and support their requirements.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure minimal downtime and data loss.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring optimal service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in infrastructure management, preferably in the asset management or trading sectors.
- Strong understanding of Linux Server and network architecture, virtualization, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring tools, automation frameworks, and CI/CD
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and familiarity with database management (SQL, NoSQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
