Job Description

A leading proprietary trading firm is seeking a Strategic Technical Manager with a strong software development background and project management expertise to act as a strategic liaison between the CTO and key stakeholders across the London office and Hong Kong headquarters. This role will facilitate communication, coordinate cross-functional projects, and ensure operational efficiency between the technology and business teams. The successful candidate will support the CTO in driving key initiatives, optimizing workflows, and ensuring seamless integration between business operations and technical functions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact between the CTO and internal teams to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Facilitate communication between the technology team and stakeholders, ensuring technical developments align with business objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects and manage relationships to address any challenges affecting business activities.
  • Provide comprehensive support to the CTO, assisting with business development, project coordination, and administrative tasks.
  • Manage special projects assigned by the CTO, helping drive growth and operational improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Identify and implement improvements in workflows and processes.
  • Contribute proactively to operational efficiency and optimization across departments.
  • Manage and track the progress of special projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in technical project management or executive support roles within the FinTech industry.
  • Strong technical background, with a solid understanding of technical workflows and software development.
  • Familiarity with coding C++, RUST 
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English (both written and spoken).
  • Proactive, organized, and capable of working independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
  • Discreet and trustworthy in handling sensitive matters.
  • Ability to adapt to varying work schedules, with flexibility to accommodate urgent business needs when required
  • This position is located and stationed in London, on-site
