We are seeking an experienced Senior Actuarial Consultant to join our client’s growing life insurance practice. In this senior-level role, you will be responsible for providing high-level strategic advisory services to our clients, with a focus on the life insurance market.

As a Principal-level consultant with at least 15 years of relevant experience, you will leverage your deep technical expertise and consultative skills to deliver value-added insights and solutions to our clients. A key part of this role will be developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, as well as bringing in new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to life insurance clients, providing strategic guidance on a wide range of actuarial and business challenges
• Lead complex actuarial modeling, pricing, and risk management projects for clients
• Develop innovative solutions to help clients optimize their operations, improve profitability, and meet regulatory requirements
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, preparing proposals and presentations to win new clients
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure our services remain cutting-edge

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience as an actuarial consultant in the life insurance industry
• Demonstrated track record of providing high-level strategic advisory services to clients
• Proficiency in business-level Japanese, both written and verbal
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into actionable insights
• Experience leading and growing client relationships, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
• Strong consultative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions
• Experience mentoring and developing junior actuarial professionals
