We are seeking Senior Consultants or a Consulting manager to join the expanding team in Singapore.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving growth initiatives and providing strategic guidance to clients. This position requires a deep understanding of actuarial principles within the Life & Health Insurance space, coupled with strong business acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment.
The Mission:
• Consulting and Actuarial Expertise: Use your strong consulting background to offer strategic guidance and deliver innovative solutions to clients, utilizing both actuarial expertise and management consulting principles.
• Collaboration: Foster integration between actuarial and management consulting services by working closely with internal teams. This collaboration enhances client outcomes and satisfaction.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, guiding and supporting them in enhancing their technical skills and overall professional growth.
• Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging market dynamics. Proactively identify potential risks and opportunities for clients based on this knowledge.
• Networking and Thought Leadership: Actively participate in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to build the firm's brand, establish professional connections, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Experience: As a Senior Consultant you should have 5+ years of experience in actuarial and management consulting roles within the SEA markets, while to qualify as a Manager, one should ideally have close to 10 years in actuarial and management consulting roles.
• Business Development: Take part in project pitches, with a proven track record of successfully identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, creating a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You should be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.
• Actuarial Qualifications: Professional actuarial qualifications (e.g., FSAJ, FIAJ, ASA, FSA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
• Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the local market, including regulatory frameworks, industry trends, and competitive dynamics, is required.
• Strategic Thinking: A strategic mindset is crucial, with the ability to think critically, analyze complex problems, and develop innovative solutions.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills are necessary, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
• Willingness to Travel: Be willing to travel as required to meet client needs.
