As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions within the bank’s technology landscape. Your expertise in Java, MS SQL, Jenkins, GitLab, Spring Boot, IBM Cloud Private, and mobile development will be crucial in driving the success of various banking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop high-quality software solutions using Java, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Perform thorough unit testing and support integration testing efforts to ensure software reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to improve system functionality.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, incorporating updates and modifications as required.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, making recommendations for process improvement.
• Collaborate with team members to review code, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer, ideally within the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of Java, MS SQL, Jenkins, GitLab, Spring Boot, and IBM Cloud Private.
• Familiarity with mobile development (iOS/Android) would be advantageous.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting complex software applications.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
